From the ashes of various other south western bands, May 2007 saw the dawning of Swindon based indie rockers TALK IN CODE. Throwing everything at it (and the kitchen sink!) Chris, Damo, Frosty, Paul and Matt flexed their creative muscles to produce a uniquely blended sound influenced by not only music they love but anything they are inspired by.
Once formed, it didn't take long to forge and shape ideas into bright anthemic songs. Tunes like the summery, pounding 'Dry Emotion' set the precedent for some of what was to follow. This track made up part of TALK IN CODE's first offering in the studio which did more than serve its purpose to land some local and regional fans. The follow up to this was approached as more of an organic process giving the recording the chance to grow and was recorded with reputable local producer Stu Rowe. 'Friends Close, Enemies Closer' was the title and with such eager anticipation around its release, to mark the launch TALK IN CODE played to a capacity audience at Swindon's 12Bar. With the bands' reputation as a 'must see' live act ever growing, this show was followed up by headline slots at Swindon Shuffle, Sugarhill and Shalfest! Furthermore TALK IN CODE have enjoyed support slots with national scale acts such as CAPTAIN, IDLEWILD, BOY KILL BOY and YOUNG KNIVES!...
Mooncalf Studios was the next destination stop for the group where the current recording was constructed including the euphoric 'Easier To Lie' and moody groover 'Hard To Define'!...This is the setting of our video montage together with some recent live clips courtesy of Playdead Events'.
All the above together with various other promotion including local radio coverage, interviews, open air gigs, reviews etc has attracted some positive heat on the band with the future looking very bright indeed.
The world of TALK IN CODE is a world to be involved in, they are a band in demand and a band on the rise!
